The national nutrition month is celebrated every July as stipulated in Presidential Decree 491. This activity is one of the ways to promote or to remind people, not only children and teens but also adults to always eat healthy foods and be fit.  Each year, the National Nutrition Council (NNC) creates a theme. This year’s theme is “Healthy diet, gawing habit – for life!”

Last Friday, July, 28, 2017, was the culminating activity for the Junior High School Program.  Here are the activities during the culminating activity.

First thing that we did was having a parade, from court to the hallway of the old building, from the hallway of the old building to the mezzanine, from mezzanine to the lobby. When we reached at the lobby, each section presented their yell. During the awarding, Grade 8-Unity won for the best yell.

Right after the parade, all of the JHS including the faculty members danced for the zumba. That was led by Sir Dan,  JHS MAPEH teacher. While dancing, everyone was having fun with wide smiles on their faces.

After the zumba, the competition for Nutri-Chef started. All of the participants was having a hard time since the competition had a great twist which was each participant of a pair was given 30 minutes to cook and the other pair should not teach his or her partner.

After the competition for cooking, we had a small salo-salo which it made the day more fun and unforgettable.

Lastly, the main event of the culminating activity was the 'Mr. and Mrs. Healthy' beauty with brains pageant. Each section has their own muse and escort to represent their section. Each section supported not only their representative but also the other candidates. This year's winner for Mr. Healthy is Dominic Ricardo, from Grade 10 - Fortitude. This year's winner for Mrs. Healthy is Thessalonica Mayol, from Grade 9 - Justice.
